Overview of Family Reports
COR Advantage powered by Kaymbu provides two types of Family Reports that reflect student development and progress, the COR Advantage Portfolio and the One-Page Summary. These reports compile tagged teacher observations into student-specific reports that can easily be shared with families. Additionally, Kaymbu offers a custom family report that you can learn more about here.
Table of Contents
COR Advantage Portfolio
The COR Advantage Portfolio is organized into the eight COR Advantage learning categories and includes student observations that have been captured within that period. Users have the option to include all observations, highest-scored observations, or not to include any observations within a student’s portfolio. Additionally, the report incorporates auto-generated comments in regard to student development based on the scores from the COR Advantage items.
COR Advantage Portfolio Layout
On the COR Advantage Portfolio, you will first find the cover page, including the student’s name, picture, and the assessment date range. Users will have the option to include a comment summarizing the student’s development and growth. You can learn more about adding comments to the portfolio's cover page here.
Following the cover page, users will have the option to include all observations, the highest-scored observations, or no observations in a student’s COR Advantage Portfolio report. You can learn more about generating and sharing Family Reports here.
Within the COR Advantage Portfolio report are the COR Advantage items and a description of how students generally develop in this capability. This is followed by the categories and comments, which include auto-generated comments based on the scores or indicators from the COR Advantage items. Additionally, based on the layout selection, captured observations, such as text anecdotes or photo observations, can be included alongside the corresponding categories.
1-Page Summary
The 1-Page Summary synthesizes student development into a concise one-page report, including the student’s performance, areas of strength and growth, and a summary comment. The 1-Page Summary contains three comprehensive layout options for programs to choose from:
- Percentiles (Benchmark Report)
- Average Scores (Growth Report)
- No Graph Report
These options offer programs the flexibility to select the most suitable report to reflect student performance and growth.
1-Page Summary Layout
The 1-Page Summary report is comprised of several sections, including student information, a graph report reflecting student performance, areas of strength and growth, and a summary comment provided by the teacher.
At the top of the report is the student’s information, which consists of their program, classroom name, and school year.
Below the student information, users will now have the option to include a student’s percentile performance, average scores, or not utilize a graph altogether in a student’s 1-Page Summary report. Please see below to learn about the new report selections available to you.
Percentiles (Benchmark Report)
The Benchmark Report reflects a student’s percentile performance across the eight COR Advantage learning domains compared to students across COR Advantage within a 3-month age range. This report is a great way to help administrators or teachers answer the question, based on the ages of my students, how are they doing compared to national averages on the COR Advantage assessment? Average Scores (Growth Report)
The Growth Report shows the average highest score observed for the selected student by assessment period. As an administrator, this report can quickly view and compare the averages of the highest scores across multiple classrooms and across periods. From a teacher's perspective, the Growth Report will present each student's scores over time while also showing the class average. This makes it easy to spot trends in student growth and see where individual students fall. To learn more about the Growth Report, click here.
The third component of the Benchmark and Growth Report is the student’s areas of strength and growth which are determined by the COR Advantage items the student has earned in the selected period.
Lastly, the fourth section of the report lays out the student’s summary comments. If a teacher adds a comment in the summary section of the assessment, the summary comment will appear at the bottom of the 1-Page Summary report. If there is no summary comment, this part of the report will not appear.
No Graph Report
The No Graph Report will exclude a graph altogether and instead will provide a report consisting of the student’s strengths and areas for growth, in addition to summary comments (if provided by the teacher). The No Graph Report is an option that allows a primary focus on student development through personalized, written narratives. This can be beneficial as it helps parents to understand their child’s progress and take the necessary steps to support and promote student growth.

There seems to be inconsistencies with the benchmark report & the summary benchmark report for families. I am viewing the same period- period 3. On the traditional benchmark report it is showing a student as BELOW the average. But when viewing the summary one, still on average score & benchmark report for period 3. The graph shows that student as at least above the 50%.
