Are you unable to access your iPad due to a lost or forgotten passcode lock? There is a solution to this problem! Follow these steps to access your locked device by restoring it to its factory settings:
1) Connect your iPad to a computer that has iTunes. If your computer does not have iTunes, simply download it for free here.
2) Hold down the Power and Home buttons at the same time. First the Apple logo will appear, then the iTunes connect screen, then you can release your hold. The connect screen looks like this:
*Please note, if you get an error message saying that iTunes cannot access the device due to Passcode lock, you need to hit "Cancel" before this will work.
3) Once the device is connected, iTunes will ask you if you'd like to Update or Restore. Select Restore. This will reset your iPad entirely, so anything not saved will be lost. Except for Drafts, all of your Kaymbu data is safely stored on the cloud, and so will not be affected by this process.
4) Once the iPad is restored, you want to choose Set Up as New iPad, so that the passcode is not reapplied. At this point you should be able to use your iPad fully!
