What is Messaging?
Messaging allows you to send messages as emails, text messages, or as messages in the Kaymbu for Families app to your school community. School administrators and teachers can add attachments, mark messages as urgent, or record and send a voice broadcast. This built-in feature is a convenient way to directly connect with your school community about general communications, announcements, and urgent updates!

Families can also view Messages through the Kaymbu for Families app. The Messages section of the app will show any communication programs sent through the Messaging feature. Any Urgent Messages will be indicated with a red icon. For more information about the Kaymbu for Families app, click here.
Users also have the option to send messages as Urgent to immediately notify parents of important updates like school closures and emergencies.
Voice Broadcast allows you to record voice messages and send them as an automated phone call to parents and staff who have phone numbers attached to their account. The recipients for the voice messages are based on your role in the system:
- When Teachers send messages, all teachers and families in the classroom receive a phone call
- When Directors send messages, all directors, teachers, and families in the center receive a phone call
- When Administrators send messages, all directors, teachers, and families in the organization receive a phone call
