Screening Groups can be managed directly from the ASQ Dashboard. Whether editing existing groups, creating multiple groups, or customizing questionnaire settings, users can set their screening group preferences to suit their program’s needs.

How to Edit a Screening Group
The edit option allows you to update an existing screening group, including its name, selected children, and questionnaire settings.
To edit a screening group, follow the steps below:

Navigate to Menu > ASQ
- High-level users, such as directors or administrators, will need to dial into the specific organization > center > classroom.
- At the classroom level, click the ellipses (three dots) in the top-right corner of the ASQ Dashboard
- Select Edit
- Update the information as needed
- Select Save Screening Group Changes to save your changes
How to Save View
Users can sort children by first name on the ASQ Dashboard in either ascending or descending order. Once sorted, you can choose to save the view of your preferred order. This will keep the order in place even after navigating away from the ASQ Dashboard.
To save the view of your screening group, follow the steps below:

Navigate to Menu > ASQ
- High-level users, such as directors or administrators, will need to dial into the specific organization > center > classroom.
- At the classroom level, click on the sorting arrows that appear next to the "Name" column on the ASQ Dashboard to sort your list of children
- Click the ellipses (three dots) in the top-right corner of the ASQ Dashboard
- Check the box located next to Save View
How to Delete a Screening Group
ASQ Screening Groups can be deleted as needed. The delete option lets you remove the screening group from your ASQ Dashboard. Please note that deleting a screening group will also delete all associated data, and the action cannot be undone.
To delete a screening group, follow the steps below:

Navigate to Menu > ASQ
- High-level users, such as directors or administrators, will need to dial into the specific organization > center > classroom.
- At the classroom level, click the ellipses (three dots) in the top-right corner of the ASQ Dashboard
- Select Delete
- A warning prompt will appear, letting you know that deleting a screening group will delete all data
- Select Delete to proceed
How to Add a Screening Group
Multiple screening groups can be created within a classroom. Please note that children must be assigned to a classroom (via the Roster) before a screening group can be created.
To add a screening group, follow the steps below:

Navigate to Menu > ASQ
- High-level users, such as directors or administrators, will need to dial into the specific organization > center > classroom.
- At the classroom level, click on the green plus sign in the bottom-right corner of the ASQ Dashboard
- Enter the group name and select the applicable children

Select Create Screening Group to save your changes
When multiple screening groups are created within a classroom, users can switch between groups by clicking the drop-down arrow next to the group name at the top of the page.
Questionnaire Settings
The Questionnaire Settings for a screening group allow users to customize the Teacher Questionnaire and/or Family Questionnaire based on their program’s specific needs and preferences. Within these settings, users can define respondent types, select (or deselect) developmental categories, and configure reminder preferences.
- Respondent: Who will be completing the questionnaire - Teacher, Family Member, or Both
- Categories: Select/Deselect the developmental categories that will be part of the questionnaire
- Reminders: Automatically or manually set reminders for the questionnaire’s due date
How to Customize Questionnaire Settings
To customize your screening group’s questionnaire settings, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Menu > ASQ
- High-level users, such as directors or administrators, will need to dial into the specific organization > center > classroom.
- At the classroom level, click the ellipses (three dots) in the top-right corner of the ASQ Dashboard
- Select Edit
- Click on the Settings button at the bottom of the window
- Configure your questionnaire settings as needed
- Select Update Settings
- Finally, select Save Screening Group Changes to confirm your updates
How to Send Reminders to Families
Users can send a reminder to all families simultaneously, which will send family app or email notifications based on the family member’s Communication Settings. The reminder will alert families to complete their questionnaire if they have not already done so.
To send reminders, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Menu > ASQ
- High-level users, such as directors or administrators, will need to dial into the specific organization > center > classroom.
- At the classroom level, click the ellipses (three dots) in the top-right corner of the ASQ Dashboard
- Select Send Reminders
- A pop-up will appear to confirm that you want to send a reminder to all families - select Send Reminder to proceed
