Creating and editing tags has never been easier!
In Menu > Tags directors can control the standards for their school, as well as tags for themselves. Teachers can see their school’s standards, and make tags for their own classroom.
School Tags are the learning standards for the whole school, and My Tags are classroom or Director level specific.
Create a New Tag or Tag Folder
Whether you are a director creating a tag for your school, or a teacher creating a tag for your classroom, the process is the same! Click on the green circle at the bottom right of the screen. A menu will appear, showing the options available to you.
When you create a tag folder or tag, a window will appear allowing you to name it.
When you create a tag folder, the window will ask if you want to include a rating scale. The rating scale will allow you to not only organize your documentation based on learning standards, but also begin to assess your students at regular intervals. If you want to enable a rating scale, click the check box, and the window will allow you to create a customized rating scale for this tag folder. You can choose the range and definitions.
Edit an Existing Tag or Tag Folder
Tags and tag folders can be edited at any time by clicking on the three dots to the right of the description. This will allow you to edit the name and the rating scale, and delete the tag if needed.
Ideas for Tags
School Tags are usually the set of learning standards used by the school. Directors can make folders for different age ranges, and include extra things that they want teachers to track, e.g. Incidents, Social Media, and Stand Outs.
For their My Tags, Directors may want to track things like Superstar Teacher Moments and Student of the Week.
Teachers may want to keep track of Moments that are Highlights, good for Portfolios, and important concepts they want to communicate to Parents.
