What are Moments Settings?
The Moments Settings consist of both the Students In Your Care and Content Visibility Settings. By enabling and customizing these settings, you can allow staff to capture observations of all students within their care and allow organizations, centers, or classrooms within your account to filter Moments and Storyboard content. Please note that the Moments Settings can be customized and locked at different account levels depending on your account setup and access level.

Accessing Moments Settings
You can access the Moments Settings from the Kaymbu app on your device or from the website my.kaymbu.com by navigating to Menu > Settings > Moments & Storyboards Settings.
High-level users such as Account Managers and Administrators will have access to the Content Visibility Settings, while Directors will have access to both the Content Visibility Settings and the Students in Your Care Setting. Teachers can access their classroom’s visibility settings only if an Administrator or Director allows classrooms to customize their own Moments and Storyboard content.
Students In Your Care
The Students in Your Care setting allows teachers to capture and tag Moments or observations for all students, including non-homeroom students, who have been moved to their same location in Attendance. To enable the Students in Your Care setting for your center, navigate to Menu > Settings > Moments Settings > Students In Your Care and toggle the setting ON. Please note that this setting can only be accessed at the Director level.

Content Visibility Settings
The Content Visibility Settings allows users to set a default start date to filter all Moments and Storyboards. The set date will determine how the content is populated on their respective grids. This setting is a great feature to utilize at the beginning of the new school year as it will allow you to filter out the previous content from the year before, allowing for a fresh, clean slate for the new year! Please note that the Content Visibility Settings can be customized and locked at different account levels depending on your account setup and access level.
Filter Moment Content
The start date that is entered under the Content Visibility Settings for Moments will determine what Moments are displayed on your Moments page. Once a date has been set under the Filter Moment Content setting, all Moments prior to the set date will be filtered out from view on the Moments page. Additionally, when using the “Date” filter at the top of the Moments page, users will not have the option to select any date occurring before their setting date.
To access the Content Visibility Settings for Moments, navigate to Menu > Settings > Moments Settings > Content Visibility Settings > Filter Moment Content and enter the default start date.
Please note that this setting can be customized and locked at different account levels depending on your account setup and access level. If you decide that you do not want organizations, centers, or classrooms within your account to have access to customizing their Content Visibility Settings, you can toggle the setting OFF. To allow entities within your account to set their own default start dates to Moments, toggle the Content Visibility Settings ON.
It is also important to note that the date entered under your Content Visibility Setting for Moments will also be applied to the Moments that are available when selecting photos for Storyboards or when adding observations to a student’s COR Advantage Assessment report or Kaymbu Portfolio. For example, if a director sets a default start date of September 2, 2024, any Moment created on or before September 2nd will be filtered out from the Moments page and cannot be selected to be added to a Storyboard or a student’s assessment portfolios.
Filter Storyboard Content
The start date that is entered under the Content Visibility Settings for Storyboards will determine what Storyboards are displayed on your Storyboards page. Once a date has been set under the Filter Storyboard Content setting, all Storyboards prior to the set date will be filtered out from view on the Storyboards page. Additionally, when using the “Date” filter at the top of the Storyboards page, users will not have the option to select any date occurring before their setting date.
To access the Content Visibility Settings for Storyboards, navigate to Menu > Settings > Moments Settings > Content Visibility Settings > Filter Storyboard Content and enter the default start date.
